Imagine a party in which 16 people are playing simultaneously in an exciting virtual world while dozens more are watching the action on the equivalent of multiple 80-inch HDTVs. This is no simple game, it's a social event. Best of all, GameJockeys can bring this experience to homes, offices or other locations - taking care of equipment delivery, setup and teardown, as well as managing the gameplay itself. GameJockeys makes corporate or private parties extraordinary celebrations. GameJockeys also sponsors and organizes official videogame tournaments.
When most people think about videogames, they don't think of them as a particularly social pastime - perhaps one or two people playing in front of a television. The internet has increased the social aspect of videogames somewhat, but there is no face-to-face interaction via the internet.
GameJockeys overcomes these limitations - turning multiplayer videogaming into a truly engrossing social affair. Rather than playing individually on 21in monitors, up to four gamers play simultaneously on each of our huge, HDTV projection screens with high-powered audiophile sound. Both competition and cooperation are enhanced by this setup. Additionally, each group of four players can be linked through a network so that up to 16 players can play in the same virtual world. Imagine two teams of 8 people each contesting territory in a game of "King of the Hill," or 16 people competing in a motorcycle race. More importantly, easy viewing of the action on large screens, plus the multiplayer mayhem of networked play, draws spectators in, even those who normally wouldn't be interested in videogaming.
Unlike a fixed location, GameJockeys' mobile setup means that you pick the venue. Rather than having to transport your guests to an incovenient location in a local mall, GameJockeys brings the games where you want them: home, office, or even outdoors. Our modular units can be setup in a variety of configurations suitable to nearly any floorplan. People who normally wouldn't be caught dead playing games in an "arcade" soon find themselves engrossed in a grudge match between the living room and dining room teams.
