Prizes: Competition Structure - Overview (Official Rules Coming Soon) CHARACTER/SIDE SELECTION Side will be determined by coin flip. The winner will decide whether he/she will choose side or defer. The player who chooses his side must also choose his/her character first. The player who didn't get to choose his/her side is allowed to make his/her character selection 2nd. Charade, Necrid, Lizardman and all other console-only / console-exclusive characters are banned. Exception: Sophitia and Seung Mina are allowed. DOUBLE ELIMINATION A variation on single elimination with a "Winners" and a "Losers" bracket. One loss sends you to the losers bracket, a second loss and you're out. Overall, this is much more fair than a Single Elimination tournament, and you'll (theoretically) always have #1 vs #2 as the final match. A single game is best two out of three (2/3) falls. A match is determined by the best two out of three games (2/3). The winner of a game must keep his/her character. The loser is allowed to pick a new character for the next game. The loser is also given the option of switching sides (e.g., from the left to right controller) after the game. In the final round (leader of winner's bracket vs leader of loser's bracket), the leader of the loser's bracket must win 2 matches to win the tournament. The leader's bracket must win only 1 match to win the tournament. Official Rules
